Oh I do like to be beside the seaside….

What to do on the first sparkly clear sunny Saturday of the year? The only answer must be visit the good old british seaside. I happened to be visiting my parents that weekend so the nearest place to the sea is Wester-super-Mare in Somerset. This place is often known as Weston-super-Mud, simply because sometimes the sea goes out so far all you can sea is mud. We had a bracing (very bracing, March in the British Isles is still pretty nippy) walk along the beach, breathed in the sea air, visited the The Grand Pier, played 2p downfalls and ate the biggest portion of traditional fish and chips in Weston. There’s something nice about the seaside in the spring…
